1Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, and only what is necessary to provide the app's core functionality:

We do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, calendar, health data, financial account details, or browsing history.

2How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely to:

• Create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you log in
• Process images you upload and return an AI-detection result
• Enforce daily or monthly scan limits associated with your plan
• Prevent abuse of the free tier through device-level checks
• Provide customer support when you contact us
• Maintain and improve the reliability of the app

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3How We Handle Your Photos

Photos are the most sensitive data this app touches, so we want to be precise about what happens to them:

• When you select an image for scanning, it is uploaded to our secure server solely to generate a detection result.
• The image is then passed to a third-party AI-detection service (see Section 4) for analysis.
• Once the result is returned, the uploaded copy is automatically and permanently deleted from our server, typically within seconds of the scan completing. We do not retain a server-side copy of your images.
• A copy of the scanned image and its result may be saved locally on your own device in the app's History tab, purely for your own reference. This local copy never leaves your device unless you choose to share it, and we cannot access it.
• You can permanently delete your local scan history at any time from Account > Clear Detection History.

4Third-Party Services & SDKs

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the app. Each is used strictly to deliver app functionality:

These providers are contractually and technically limited to processing data on our behalf to deliver the app's features. They do not use your data for their own independent purposes such as advertising.

6Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

The app offers optional paid subscription plans for higher monthly scan limits. All payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store / StoreKit) on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other financial information — that data is held exclusively by Apple or Google in accordance with their own privacy policies.

We only receive confirmation that a subscription is active and its plan tier, which we use to unlock the corresponding scan limit on your account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled at any time from your device's App Store or Google Play account settings.

7Data Retention

• Account data (email, plan, usage counters) is retained for as long as your account remains active.
• Uploaded images are deleted from our servers within seconds of a scan completing — we do not keep a persistent copy.
• Local scan history stays on your device only, until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Device identifiers used for fraud prevention are retained as long as necessary to enforce free-tier limits.
• If you request account deletion (see Section 9), we delete your account data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

8Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), or similar regulations, including the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, at no cost, in either of the following ways:

• In-app: Go to Account, and use the account deletion option if available in your app version.
• By email: Send a deletion request to onlineplagiarismremover@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

Upon a verified request, we will delete your account record, email address, and usage data from our active systems. Locally stored scan history on your own device is not affected by this process and can be cleared separately from Account > Clear Detection History, or removed entirely by uninstalling the app.

10Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the app, our servers, and third-party services, and secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure (Firebase) for account data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using practices appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.

11Children's Privacy

AI Image Detector is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 14.

12International Users

Our services are operated using infrastructure that may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States, through our use of Firebase (Google Cloud). Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for any such international transfer of data.

13Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
