1Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Image Text Editor Android app, published under the package name (Application ID) com.imagetext.editor. It explains what data the app collects when you use it, how that data is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
By downloading, installing, or using Image Text Editor, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2Your photos & images
⚙ Processed 100% on-deviceImage Text Editor lets you pick or capture a photo, detects text inside it, and lets you replace that text while matching the original font size, color, and position. All of this — text detection (OCR) and background reconstruction — runs entirely on your own device:
- Text detection uses Google ML Kit's on-device Text Recognition, which does not send your image to any server.
- Background reconstruction (removing the original text) uses a bundled on-device AI model (MI-GAN, run through ONNX Runtime), packaged inside the app itself.
Your original and edited photos are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party as part of the editing process. Edited images are saved directly to your device's photo gallery.
3Account information
Creating an account requires a Gmail email address and a password. This is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) — we never see or store your raw password ourselves; Firebase stores it in hashed, secured form.
We store the following against your account in Cloud Firestore (also a Google service):

4Device identifier
When you register, the app reads your device's hardware identifier (Android ID on Android, identifierForVendor on iOS) and stores it against your account in Firestore. This is used only to limit how many accounts can be created from the same physical device, so the free daily edit limit cannot be bypassed by repeatedly creating new accounts.
5Subscription & billing data
Image Text Editor offers an optional Pro subscription (auto-renewing, monthly) that removes the daily free-edit limit and ads. Subscriptions are purchased and billed entirely through Google Play Billing.
- We never see, collect, or store your payment card details — Google Play handles all payment processing.
- Once Google Play confirms a purchase, we store a simple "Pro: yes/no" flag against your account so the app knows to unlock Pro features.
6Advertising data
Free plan users are shown a short rewarded video ad before saving an edited image, served through Google AdMob. To show and measure these ads, AdMob may collect device-level identifiers such as your advertising ID, in accordance with Google's advertising and measurement policies. Pro subscribers do not see ads.
7App permissions

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, SMS, or call data.
8Local storage on your device
Your daily free-edit usage count and your edit history (thumbnails and metadata of past edits) are currently stored locally on your device only, not on our servers. This means this data stays on your device and is not synced across devices, and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
9Third-party services
Image Text Editor relies on the following third-party services, all operated by Google, each governed by Google's own privacy policy:

10Data sharing & selling
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, only as needed to run the app's core functionality (login, ads, billing).
11Data retention
Your account data (email, device identifier, subscription status) is retained for as long as your account exists. If you request account deletion (see below), this data is removed from our systems.
12Data security
Account data is stored using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, both of which use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we rely on Google's infrastructure and security practices to protect your data.
13Account & data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (email, device identifier, subscription status) at any time by emailing us from your registered email address at onlineplagiarismremover@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account". We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time.
14Children's privacy
Image Text Editor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
15Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
